Task Management

Tasks are the fundamental unit of work in AutomateNexus. Create tasks from multiple places:

  • The Tasks page for standalone tasks
  • Within a project for project-related work
  • From a contact or deal record for CRM-related follow-ups
  • Automatically via workflow triggers or sequences

Task Properties

Each task includes:

  • Title and description
  • Assignee — The team member responsible
  • Due date and priority (Low, Medium, High, Urgent)
  • Status (To Do, In Progress, Review, Done)
  • Tags for categorization
  • Linked entities (contact, deal, project)

Task Delegation

The Task Delegation feature allows managers to assign and reassign tasks with visibility into team workload:

  • View team member workload at a glance
  • Drag-and-drop task reassignment
  • Bulk assign tasks to team members
  • Set up delegation rules for automatic assignment

Time Tracking

Track time spent on tasks and projects with the built-in time tracker:

  • Timer — Start and stop a timer on any task
  • Manual entry — Log time after the fact
  • Timesheets — View weekly and monthly timesheet summaries
  • Reports — Generate time reports by project, client, or team member

Time tracking data feeds into project billing and profitability reports.

Workflows
