Tasks, Delegation & Time Tracking
Task Management
Tasks are the fundamental unit of work in AutomateNexus. Create tasks from multiple places:
- The Tasks page for standalone tasks
- Within a project for project-related work
- From a contact or deal record for CRM-related follow-ups
- Automatically via workflow triggers or sequences
Task Properties
Each task includes:
- Title and description
- Assignee — The team member responsible
- Due date and priority (Low, Medium, High, Urgent)
- Status (To Do, In Progress, Review, Done)
- Tags for categorization
- Linked entities (contact, deal, project)
Task Delegation
The Task Delegation feature allows managers to assign and reassign tasks with visibility into team workload:
- View team member workload at a glance
- Drag-and-drop task reassignment
- Bulk assign tasks to team members
- Set up delegation rules for automatic assignment
Time Tracking
Track time spent on tasks and projects with the built-in time tracker:
- Timer — Start and stop a timer on any task
- Manual entry — Log time after the fact
- Timesheets — View weekly and monthly timesheet summaries
- Reports — Generate time reports by project, client, or team member
Time tracking data feeds into project billing and profitability reports.
Workflows
