Unified Contact Timeline

What is the Unified Timeline?

The Unified Contact Timeline is a single chronological feed that aggregates every interaction and touchpoint with a contact across your entire CRM. Instead of checking multiple tabs or tools, you can see the complete history in one view.

Event Types

The timeline pulls data from seven different sources and displays the following event types:

  • Activities — Calls made, notes added, emails logged, meetings held, and tasks completed
  • Deals — Deal creation, stage changes, value updates, and deal closures
  • Messages — Chat messages and email correspondence
  • Meetings — Scheduled and completed meetings with timestamps and attendees
  • Email Sequences — Sequence enrollment, email sends, opens, and replies
  • Invoices — Invoice creation, sending, and payment status changes
  • Form Submissions — Forms submitted by the contact on your website or landing pages

Filtering the Timeline

Use the filter chips at the top of the timeline to show or hide specific event types. Click any chip to toggle that event type on or off. This lets you focus on exactly the interactions you care about — for example, showing only emails and calls before a sales follow-up.

How It Works

The timeline automatically queries multiple database tables and merges the results into a single sorted feed. Events are displayed newest-first with infinite scroll — click Load More at the bottom to see older events.

Using the Timeline in Sales

The Unified Timeline is invaluable for sales conversations. Before a call or meeting, review the timeline to:

  • See the last email or message exchanged
  • Check which deals are in progress and their current stage
  • Review any forms the contact has submitted
  • Understand the full context of the relationship at a glance

The timeline is accessible from any contact detail page under the Activity tab.
