What Are Sales Sequences?

Sales sequences are automated multi-step outreach workflows that send emails, create tasks, and follow up with leads over a defined schedule. They eliminate manual follow-up and ensure consistent engagement.

Building a Sequence

The visual sequence builder lets you create step-by-step flows:

  1. Day 1 — Send initial outreach email
  2. Day 3 — If no open, send follow-up with different subject line
  3. Day 5 — Create a task to call the prospect
  4. Day 7 — Send a final email with a different value proposition

Each step can be an email send, a wait period, a condition check (email opened? replied?), or a task creation.

Sequence Flow View

The visual flow view shows your sequence as connected cards, each displaying the step number, delay from the previous step, email subject, and real-time analytics (sends, opens, replies). Color coding indicates status: green for active steps, yellow for paused, and gray for completed.

Enrolling Contacts

Enroll contacts individually or in bulk. You can:

  • Enroll from the contact detail page
  • Bulk enroll from a filtered contact list
  • Auto-enroll via workflow triggers

Enrolled contacts can be paused, resumed, or unenrolled at any time.

Sequence Analytics

Track performance with built-in analytics:

  • Enrollment funnel — Enrolled, Sent, Opened, Replied, Converted
  • Per-step metrics — Open rate, reply rate, and bounce rate for each step
  • Overall completion rate — Percentage of contacts who completed the full sequence
